Sky Falls in New York
After leading by as many as 13 points the Sky trailed by three points with five seconds on the clock and was unable to convert on a buzzer-beating three-point attempt to fall to the New York Liberty for the third time this season, 57-54.
Jia Perkins exploded for a season-high 26 points and Sylvia Fowles recorded her fifth straight double-double with 12 points and a career-best 19 rebounds.
The Sky (8-11) held a 13 point lead midway through the third quarter before the Liberty (8-9) went on a decisive 27-11 run to end the game.
Cappie Pondexter dominated again for the Liberty however she didnt get much support. Pondexter scored a game-high 30 points. The only other Liberty player to score in double-figures was Plenette Pierson with 10 points.
