Sun Players Help Celebrate Branford Plays For The Cure
Connecticut Sun players Asjha Jones and Renee Montgomery made an appearance at Branford High School Monday night, helping the community celebrate “Branford Plays For The Cure,” an evening dedicated to raising donations for cancer charities. Jones and Montgomery signed autographs and cheered on participants in the different basketball games that were played during the event. The Connecticut Sun also donated signed items for auction.
Approximately $3,000 was raised. Proceeds will go to Geno Auriemma’s Cancer Team, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the Debbie Maloney Memorial Fund at Tisko School.
